Notes from the Clinic
Ah, summer. Clinic has been on hiatus, but we’ve been busy putting together a whole slew of exciting new projects and partnerships for the Fall.
It all kicks off with our practitioner and staff training in just a little over a week. We’ll be reviewing the new clinic ethics and guidelines and hosting Isabella from the Survivor Arts Collective for a trauma training for body workers. While we’ve done trauma trainings before, Isabella is offering us a wholly unique opportunity to really hone trauma-awareness to make folks feel safe when someone touches their body.
Come mid-October, we’re hosting the first of two all-youth clinics, and in late November, we’re partnering with the Pioneer Valley Workers Center and La Cliniquita in Springfield to organize very first pop-up clinic for the farm workers who make up the PVWC Springfield worker committee. More details on how to get involved in getting this exciting endeavor off the ground coming next month!
In the late Spring, our advisory committee met for the first time, and in July, we addd two more fabulous members. Thanks Tanisha, Jenni, Amy, Eliza, and Aviva for agreeing to be the bird’s eye view for PMP! (Featured with staff below)
