Dear Friends….
Dear Friends,
Even in the midst of grant-writing, program-building, and advisory-board building, the sleet and snow of March made way for flowers, so that even up here in the hills where I live, this week has been punctuated by the year’s first blooms. Happy Spring, y’all!
Last month, we threw all of our space efforts into a collaborative grant proposal with a researcher from UMass Amherst that would explore expanding our acupuncture access program. After writing so much about the potential of scaling up the program, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished so far but realized that we haven’t written much about it here yet.
So what the heck is our Acupuncture Access Program? It’s an innovative partnership with Greenfield Community Acupuncture that provides free acupuncture treatments to those in early recovery. So far, we’ve provided over 200 treatments to people in our community that would not otherwise have been able to afford them…..
